Yes, re|engage is for married couples only or couples that have been married but are now divorced or separated.
re|engage is a great program but does not serve as a pre-marital program. Contact our pastoral staff for pre-marital program options!
We will make some exceptions in cases where couples have been living together, have children together and can be considered “common law married” in the state of Texas however we will always push and recommend couples to “close that door” and get the official marriage license. If you want help doing that we are more than happy to help you make that happen!
What is an Open Group?
An Open Group at Re|engage offers a flexible and welcoming environment for couples. It meets weekly and allows people to join at any time without the need for a consecutive commitment. This format is ideal for those who are exploring the Re|engage program or cannot commit to a longer-term group. Open Groups provide a supportive space to share and learn from each other’s experiences in marriage, fostering a community of understanding and growth.
What is a Closed Group?
Closed Groups are a more structured part of the Re|engage program, involving a 14-week study. This format is designed for couples ready to commit to a deeper exploration of their marriage. Each group consists of a small number of couples, allowing for more intimate and focused discussions. The commitment to attend all sessions is important as each week builds on the last. There is a fee of $75.00 per couple, which covers materials and other resources necessary for the program. Closed Groups provide an environment for couples to delve into specific aspects of their marriage, guided by a structured curriculum and the facilitation of group leaders.
Additional Information:
- Duration and Content: The Closed Group’s 14-week curriculum is carefully crafted to address various aspects of marital relationships, offering tools and insights for strengthening bonds. In contrast, Open Groups offer a more general discussion format, adapting to the needs and topics raised by participants each week.
- Support and Guidance: Both Open and Closed Groups are facilitated by leaders who provide guidance and support. However, in Closed Groups, facilitators are often couples who have completed the program themselves and can share their insights and experiences.
- Commitment Level: The Closed Group requires a higher level of commitment, both in terms of time and participation, reflecting its structured approach. Open Groups, on the other hand, offer a more casual and flexible approach, accommodating varying schedules and levels of commitment.
It is important to us that we provide your children with quality care that is safe AND fun. To do this, we will be paying 2-3 workers each night for their time to ensure consistency in quality of care, reliability in workers showing up, and not burn out our volunteers.
If there is an issue with the amount please do not let this be a reason you cannot attend as we will work something out through a scholarship or some sort of payment arrangement to ensure that this fee is not a hinderance for finding the MORE for your marriage.
